Because i am so into movies and i have seen a load come out i have decided that i will do my own review on them to help people decide yay or nay in going to see them. write back if you dont agree or you thinbk this is useful, any comments will do even crap ones. so ….
first starting of with Good Luck Chuck this was a comedy film starring Dane Cook, Jessica Alba and Dan Fogler. This is how it goes Charlie (Dane Cook) wouldn’t pay all the rules of spin the bottle by declining to kiss agoth girl, as a result, she puts a hex on him, every girl he sleeps with the next man she meets will be her true love. As this gets out girls are lining up to sleep with Chuck, to have his lucky charm, at first Charlie finds it fine after being persuaded by his mate Stu (Dan Fogler) but after a while sleeping with loads of girls, and not finding true love himself gets to him. Finially, he meets Cam (Jessica Alba) an accident prone penguin specialist, but because of the curse he cant sleep with her or she will marry the next guy she meets he has to overcome the curse and get his true love.
A lot of physical humour is used in the film and it is a nice chick flick/Comedy. it has very adult humour, but is a great laugh. So I am going to rate this film 9/10.
the Next film is I Am Legend the main lead is of course Will Smith. basically after a ‘cure’ for cancer goes wrong and kills something like 90% of the words population, the other 7% are these monster things and the other 3% are either alive or amune and are fighting to save their life from these monster things. Robert Neville (Will Smith) is one of the survivors living in New York city, him and his dog. he is a scientist, Robert not the dog. he looks for a cure and gets into a bother when a tragic thing happens, coming to his rescue is a woman together they try and defeat the monsters. Don’t wanna give away the plot so i will leave it there. i was a bit disappionted in the ending, and they didn’t have the biggest build up of what exactly happend with everyone, and his family but i suppose it was ok, the special effects were great, was a bit jumpy, its a 15. I like this movie it was action packed, with some thriller and some sadness, but also some happiness. So i am going to rate this as 8/10.
the next one is a Psychological thriller called Awake, Satrring Haden Christensen, Jessica Alba, Terrence Howard and Lena Olin. This was written and directed by Joby Harold, and it is based on the real life symptom of “anesthetic awareness”. Clay (Hayden Christensen), is a very rich business man who follow in the footsteps of his deceased father, Clay has a serious heart condition and is waiting on a heart, for a transplant. His fiance Sam (Jessica Alba) is his mums secretary, and is going out with Clay behind her back. When a heart finially arrives Clay wants his beat friend Jack harper (Terrence Howard) to perform the surgery, despite his mums wishes (Lena Olin) wants a top doctor to perform the surgery. against his mothers wishes he chooses his friend. The main bulk of the film is devoted to Clay’s open heart surgery, were he experiences “anesthetic awareness” where there is not enough anesthetic for your body, enough to paralyse you – but not the pain. So Clay hears and feels every detail including the fact the doctors are planning to kill him and get all his money. theres a big twist in the movie which if u think about it is quite predictable but you could also sway the clues to another conclusion, u get what i mean if u see the movie. it was a good film and i would rate it 8/10.
